For this digital event, a live recording of a hip-hop concert was made at our venue. The recording devices were a static digital camera (DSLR) in the back of the concert hall and mobile phone recordings from four guests who were asked to film the event with their mobile phone cameras from the audience area. Immediately after the concert, the various recordings were transferred on site from the devices to an external storage medium and a montage was created from the material. The soundtrack was recorded separately and, after some post-production, superimposed on the original soundtrack of the video. The finished video was put on our YouTube channel and shared on our website. The first-person perspective of the mobile phone recordings from the audience room was intended to give the viewers a subjective feeling of the concert experience – as if they had been there themselves.
